Frame resprays

Steel, Aluminium, &Titanium frames painted in a wide range of colours in plain, metallic, pearl and flamboyant stove enamels. From £70.00 and £140.00 for solos and tandems respectively. This includes grit blasting to remove old paint and rust, then giving the same paint process as applied to our own hand built frames.

Carbon frames cannot be grit blasted, but we can respray certain types using paint primers which are compatible. We prefer to see each frame before quoting for the respray.

Air brush work. This is used to produce some of the multi-colour finishes of modern frames. We also have access to the wide range of masks needed for many of these colour schemes.

Frame Modification
Older frames can be brought up to date by incorporating current features such as:-

Thread less steering columns for A Headsets.

1" steerers and head tubes converted to 1⅛"

Head tubes converted to accept concealed headsets.

STI/Ergo guides fitted on head tube.

Drop outs converted to vertical.
-
Extra braze-ons such as bottle bosses, mudguard eyes, front changer bosses, pannier eyes and cable guides.

Carbon forks and rear triangles for racing bikes.

Disc brake bosses on Mountain bikes.

Racing frames converted to low profile.

Steel Frame Repairs.
We can undertake any repair on steel frames from the renewal of cracked or corroded bosses, up to the replacement of frame tubes. Other repairs include:-

Drop out replacement.

Steering tube replacement.

Bronze welding of cracked bottom bracket shells and lugs.

Replace cracked or corroded chain stays etc.

Removal of seized handlebar and seat stems.

Titanium and Aluminium

We are one of the very few frame builders who have equipment and expertise for repair and modification of both Aluminium and Titanium frames and components. Here is a list of regularly carried out repairs and modifications:-

Fit disc brake mounts on mountain bikes. Titanium £85.00; Aluminium £65.00; Steel £40.00

Fit cable stops and guides, including hydraulic brake pipe fittings.

Weld and reinforce broken seat tubes.

Fill cracks in head tubes and recut.

Replace cracked front changer bosses.

Overlay and reinforce cracks in TIG welds.
